Hello, my name is Jeff Drock and I am the guy who many elite level junior tennis players and professionals go to for help with their fitness training. As you probably already know, elite players have free training and access to the best commercial fitness equipment that money can buy. Yes, they get to train free at United States Tennis Association High Performance Training Centers.
Why do so many elite players who get free training from the United States Tennis Association pay me big money to train them?
Do I have better gym equipment than others do? No way!
Is it because I have a Masters Degree? No, many people have masters degrees!
Is it because I have several fancy fitness and strength training certifications? No, many people have several fancy certifications!
Is it because I have experience as a former college player and coach? NO, there are trainers who have coached and/or played college tennis
Sure all of the aforementioned credentials above things are nice but….
The real reason is the following:
For more than a decade I have had experience and a proven track record of safely providing high-level tennis players with incredibly quick and visible results. I find their physical weaknesses immediately and then base my training with them on their weaknesses, individuality, and specific needs. Keep in mind that many coaches and academies only do physical training with players in large groups with their players and it is IMPOSSIBLE to increase the physical fitness level of players by doing group only training. Because the physical conditioning levels and needs of tennis players are so different, individualized training must be available!Do you need to do physical training?
Hmmm? Just think of it this way… If you want to be less tired and more productive during your technical training and practice sessions, then you MUST improve your physical condition.
I have personally worked with world class coaches who charge $5 a minute or $300 an hour. These guys are no joke and would still be booked solid if they charged much more than that!!! If a player rests during this training, they end up paying big money to rest!!!
I am currently director of Strength and Conditioning for the Internationally Acclaimed Rick Macci Tennis Academy and even some of the best players in the country are in awful physical condition.
